Update of Exceptional and Temporary Measures during State of Public Calamity

The state of Public Calamity has been extended until 7 November 2020. The Government decided, through Presidential Decree No. 256/20, of 8 October 2020, to update the measures to prevent COVID-19.

In general, the previous measures have been maintained, notably: (i) the closure of borders; (ii) travelers coming to Angola, a pre-departure RT-PCR test with a negative result, carried out within 72 hours prior to travel; (iii) the gradual resumption of regular flights, in compliance with biosafety rules; and (iv) home quarantine for citizens entering Angola with a negative result on their pre-departure RT-PCR test. The new regulations also provide for similar rules on the opening and operation of public and private services and other economic activities, with some variations from the previous regulations.
