Senegal Lifts COVID-19 State of Emergency
Senegalese President Macky Sall announced the lifting of the Covid-19 state of emergency in order to mitigate the economic consequences of the lockdown in the country.
As a consequence, the state of emergency and the night-time curfew were lifted as of Tuesday 30 June at 11pm.
In addition, the opening of air borders has also been announced with effect from 15 July, albeit with some restrictions.
According to the Senegalese President, the government is already preparing an economic recovery plan for the country.
