The National Bank of Angola issued Order No. 10/21, of 14 July 2021, which regulates corporate governance and internal control and sets minimum standards to be complied with by Banking Financial Institutions.

This Order introduced significant changes to the current legal regime, namely in matters of corporate governance, internal control system, internal audit, financial groups and reporting. It is important to emphasize that with the entry into force of this Order, the mechanisms and procedures of good corporate governance in Angola are now in accordance with the recommendations on Corporate Governance Principles for Banks, recently released by the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision.
