Through Instruction No. 17/2018, of 28 November 2018, the National Bank of Angola (“BNA”) approved new rules applicable to the voluntary repatriation of financial resources. 
This Instruction applies to Financial Institutions and to holders of financial resources domiciled abroad that wish to repatriate funds under Law No. 9/18, of 26 June 2018, and use the benefits provided in said Law. 
For the purposes of control and statistical registration, Financial Institutions must submit to the BNA the relevant documentation up to 5 business days after the legal deadline to receive the financial resources that have been voluntarily repatriated. 
This Instruction entered into force on 29 November 2018.
