The Ministry of Finance Order No. 130/2016, which defines the new criteria to qualify as Large Taxpayers was published on 10 May, 2016. This will be monitored by the Large Taxpayers Unity of the Tax Authority. Among other changes, the Order will cover (a) individuals that either (i) have an income higher than €750 000,00; or (ii) detain, directly or indirectly, assets with a value higher than 5 million euros; or (iii) whose wealth evidence is coherent with the aforementioned criteria; as well as (b) other individuals or entities that are considered relevant according to their relationship with Large Taxpayers.
