On 16 December, the Luanda Port Company, E.P launched the International Public Tender for the Management and Operation of the Port of Luanda Multipurpose Terminal.

The Port of Luanda Multipurpose Terminal is the country’s largest entry and exit point of goods, as well as a regional hub for shipping containers. It has a pier of 610m, a depth of 12.5m and the capacity to handle 2.6 million tons per year.

This public tender is addressed to domestic and foreign companies that have the technical ability as well as proven experience in the sector.

The launch of this Public Tender has been approved by Presidential Decree No. 164/19, of 27 September, and according to Notice of Public Tender No. 2/2019, bids must be submitted by 30 March 2020.
