The Technical Unit for the Support of Public-Private Partnerships has announced the launch of the international public tender for the technical and financial proposal for the Design, Build, Finance and Operate (DBFO) of the deepwater port in Fernão Dias, in the Lobata district, under a public-private partnership.

According to the Government, this port, which is 16 metres deep, is to become the main entry and exit point of goods in the country, as well as a regional hub for shipping containers going to Central and West African countries.

Pursuant to Public Tender Nº. 1/UTAP/2019 and the corresponding Terms of Reference, technical proposals must be submitted by 20 January 2020.
