The Government of Cape Verde announced the opening of an International Public Tender for the Award of Capacity for two 5MW Solar Photovoltaic Power Plants each, in the Sal and São Vicente Islands.

This public tender is addressed to private sector developers, consortia or joint ventures to design, engineer, construct, commission, finance, own, operate and maintain two 5 MW Solar Photovoltaic Power Plant as Independent Producer under a BOO (Build, Own, Operate) scheme, pursuant to the legal framework for the carry out of electric power independent production and self-generation.

Participants may opt to submit tenders for either one or both power plants.

Expressions of Interest must be submitted to the National Industry, Commerce and Energy Directorate (DNICE) by 31 January 2020.
