Considering that the immigration papers related to the stay of foreigners in Angola continues to be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the Angolan Government approved Executive Decree No. 122/21, of 12 May 2021, pursuant to which the documents of the foreign citizens absent from the country, expired since 28 February 2020, notably residence permits, refugee cards, investor visas, work visas, and temporary-stay visas are deemed valid until 31 July 2021.
 
These documents shall be renewed or extended without any penalty as their holders return to Angola, as long as their renewal or extension is requested within 5 business days as from the arrival date to national territory.
