In view of the Situation of Public Calamity and the closure of national borders due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Angolan Government approved the following measures by means of Executive Decree No. 3/21, of 5 January 2021:

• To consider valid until 28 February 2021 the immigration papers that expired after 28 February 2020 and that are related to the stay in national territory of foreign citizens, notably residence permits, refugee cards, investor visas, work visas, temporary-stay visas and study visas, the holders of which are currently absent from the national territory.
   
• To consider valid until 28 February 2021 any visa exemptions, tourist visas, short-term visas and border visas that expired after 28 February 2020 and whose holders were not able to leave Angola due to the closure of borders. These citizens must, however, leave the national territory as soon as current constraints allow.
