The Angolan Government decided to grant the public a day-off on the 24th of August 2022, by means of enactment of Presidential Decree No. 215/22, of 12 August 2022, to enable the exercise of the public´s voting rights on General Elections day. Employees working in shifts are not entitled to a day-off but must be mandatorily excused from work for the period of time deemed necessary to exercise their right to vote.
