The Senegalese Government announced that it would not reopen its air space to travelers from EU countries, following the non-inclusion of Senegal on the EU’s list of States deemed ‘safe’. The announcement was made by the Minister of Tourism and Air Transport, Alioune Sarr.

Negotiations are currently underway between representatives of Senegal and the EU to find a satisfactory solution for both parties.
