New public calamity measures were enacted by Presidential Decree No. 150/21, of 8 June 2021. The new statute amends and updates the rules established by Presidential Decree No. 119/21, of 8 May 2021, on the prevention and control of SARS-COV-2 virus and COVID-19 and the functioning of public and private services, social equipment and economic activities during the period of public calamity. The measures will remain in force until 23h59 of 8 July 2021.
The evolution of the pandemic led to the maintenance of the restrictions regarding, notably, opening hours and occupancy levels of public and private places, commerce and restaurants and to the implementation of additional measures regarding the control of Luanda’s land borders due to the maintenance of the sanitary fence.
