New public calamity measures were enacted by Presidential Decree No. 106/21, of 28 April 2021. The new statute amends and updates the rules established by Presidential Decree No. 82/21, of 9 April 2021, on the prevention and control of SARS-COV-2 virus and COVID-19 and the functioning of public and private services, social equipment and economic activities during the period of public calamity. The new measures will remain in force until 23h59 of 28 May 2021.
 
The evolution of the pandemic led to more restrictions on opening hours and occupancy levels in public and private administrative services, commerce and restaurants.
