Decree-Law No. 11/2016, of 16 November 2016, recently made public, approves the conversion of São Tomé and Príncipe’s existing currency, Família da Dobra, into a new one, called Nova Família da Dobra. STP Central Bank is still to determine the specifications for the new coins and banknotes.
