Following the recent enactment of the new Privatization Framework Law, the Government has approved the Privatizations Program for years 2019-2022.

Presidential Decree No. 250/19, of 5 August 2019, lists the companies and assets to be privatized under the 2019-2022 program, as well as the privatization procedures to be adopted in respect of each of the companies and assets the subject of the program, the so-called «PROPRIV».

Listing over 190 companies and assets to be privatized in different sectors of the economy, including, inter alia, Mineral Resources, Transportation, Telecommunications, Health, Agriculture  and Construction Sectors,  Presidential Decree 250/19 also includes a roadmap and a chronogram, detailing the steps and procedures to be followed in respect of each type of privatization procedure, from public tenders to limited tenders by prior qualification, to public offers on the stock exchange.
