Leading Lisbon-based international law firm Miranda & Associados (Miranda) has announced the addition of João Rosado Correia as a partner. He joins from Garrigues in Lisbon where he was Head of Public Law, Energy and Environment and is regarded one of Portugal’s pre-eminent energy and projects lawyers.

At Miranda, João joins the Energy and the Public Law and Regulatory practice teams and will maintain his focus international energy, procurement and project finance matters, including public-private partnerships and environmental law issues.

According to Diogo Xavier Da Cunha, Miranda’s Managing Partner, “the addition reflects the growing profile and sophistication of the firm’s energy, projects and infrastructure practice”.

João Rosado Correia was a partner at Garrigues Portugal since 2008 and previously a partner at Rui Pena, Arnaut & Associados (2002-08). His arrival at Miranda brings the total number of partners at the firm to 20.
