Miranda & Associados is immensely proud and humbled to announce that we have been awarded "International Law Firm of the Year" at the Africa Legal Awards, which took place at The Wanderers Club, Johannesburg, South Africa last Friday 6 September.

Miranda was competing in a really strong category which included Baker McKenzie, Dentons, DLA Piper, PLMJ and White & Case LLP as fellow finalists.

The judges consisted of leading GCs from the region and were evaluating firms on their significant progress over the past 12-18 months as well as evidence of legal expertise and innovation, strategic vision, business winning, client care, employee development, sustainable improvements in financial performance and a commitment to CSR.

Miranda's Managing Partner, Diogo Xavier da Cunha said, "This award is the icing on the cake on what has been a great period of consolidation and growth for Miranda. During the last 18 months we have expanded our practice in Francophone Africa, grown significantly at home and abroad as well a number of key lateral hirings and promoted five of our associates to Partner. The prestigious event was hosted by Legal Week and the Corporate Counsel Association of South Africa (CCASA).
